WOOL CARE

Wool is one of the most versatile, resilient fibre ever made. Natural, renewable, biodegradable; resistant to odour, stain and UV; breathable, elastic and soft, warm in the end.

Clothes with a Machine Washable label can be safely washed in a washing machine. Ideally wool garments should be washed on the wool setting (usually gentle action at 30°C). If your washing machine does not have a wool cycle, then use the cold water wash or wash cycle for delicate clothes. If you use the machine to spin items, the revolutions must be below 400. Do not wring wool clothes, it will damage them and they will lose shape. To remove excess water after washing, gently roll the garment in a towel.

If your garment states Hand Wash Only, then hand wash in warm water, approximately 30°C, using a mild detergent or a special wool shampoo. Allow to soak for a period of 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly in warm water, and finally in cold water. Remember that big changes in temperature can trigger wool to shrink.

If in doubt, hand wash is the best option.

It is highly recommended to dry wool items on flat surface on towel afterwards. Stretch the wool into shape when wet, and pull lengthwise and lay flat to dry. Dry wool away from the direct heat and sunlight.

Wool repels dirt compared to cotton and does not need to be washed same often. Often spraying a little water mist on it and having it out will help it self-clean.
